Peace Needed In Ukraine For The Interest Of the World And International Laws

The Putin regime’s criminal war against Ukraine, launched in February 2022, has become the main destabilizing factor in the deterioration of international security in various regions of the world, in particular in the Middle East, where the armed confrontation between Israel and Iran is escalating, as well as in the Asia-Pacific region – where tensions around Taiwan are growing.

Restoring peace in Ukraine will lead to both an end to the Russian-Ukrainian war and a reduction in the level of danger in other regions of the world.

Putin’s neo-imperial project “USSR-2” led not only to the criminal genocidal war of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, but also created real grounds for the further decline of Russia and the relentless degradation of its population.

As a result of the war, not only is the population of Russia rapidly declining, but the spiritual decline of Russians is also increasing.

Representatives of the “Russian Orthodox Church”, instead of spreading the canons of the Christian faith, “justify” the crimes of Russian soldiers in Ukraine.

Fully controlled by the Kremlin, Russian religious centers and their leaders have de facto been transformed into political or governmental structures.

They are involved in spreading Kremlin propaganda that fuels hatred of the Ukrainian nation and incites Russian citizens to continue this unjust war.

Many Russian religious leaders are accomplices in numerous war crimes committed by the Russian army in Ukraine.

At the same time, crime is increasing among Russian militants of the so-called “special military operation,” who have felt their impunity.

In 2024 alone, more than 6,000 military personnel were convicted in Russia. This surge is a direct consequence of the “criminalization of the army” policy, as Russia increasingly recruits people from prisons for war against Ukraine.

In Russia approved laws allowing suspects to be released from trial and punishment if they sign a “contract to participate in the ‘special military operation’.” The severity of the crime is often irrelevant.

This is how thousands of russian criminals end up in the army, unafraid to commit further crimes, knowing they can escape punishment by returning to the front lines.

The war russia is waging against Ukraine is having a growing impact on the daily lives of ordinary russians. Alongside increasing restrictions on freedoms and a decline in living standards, the country is now facing a surge in crime.

Humanitarian and environmental disasters are spreading throughout Russia.

Against this background, Russia’s highly militarized and inefficient economy is unable to compete not only with the West, but also with China and other countries of the world.

An acute labour shortage, persistent and rising inflation caused by soaring military expenditure, and ever-tightening sanctions will finally bring about an economic crisis that will force Moscow to abandon its maximalist aims in Ukraine and bring about an end to the war on terms more acceptable to Kyiv and its allies.

To control the Russian army and the country’s population, Putin’s regime is increasingly relying on “barrier troops”, which frankly terrify Russians.

The “barrier troops” shoot their own retreating soldiers in order to compel offensives. The tactic of shooting deserters attests to the low quality, low morale and indiscipline of Russian forces.

At the same time, the Russian “opposition” has failed to organize any resistance, apart from declarative, powerless meetings and numerous “protests” in Western countries.

Thus, the restoration of a just peace in Ukraine on the basis of current international law is in the interests not only of Ukraine, but also of the countries of the West, the Middle East, China, and the Russian people themselves.

The continuation of Putin’s criminal war leads not only to further tragedies in Ukraine, but also to increased regional and global tensions and the collapse of the lives of Russian citizens.

In the future, Russia’s war against Ukraine and other conflicts could escalate into a global catastrophe.
