Osun 2017 WAEC rating disappointing – PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed disappointment over the performance of Osun students in the just released results by West African Examinations Council.
Speaking in Osogbo on Monday, the Chairman of the party, Dr Bayo Faforiji, lamented the backwardness the education policies of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola government have brought to the state.
He noted that Osun State was one time a leading force to reckon with in WAEC and other examination body results ratings of our students during the time of PDP in government.
He emphasized that with huge amount of money acclaimed to have been spent on education in the state, the government of Aregbesola should put their head in shame and revert back to what was given us positive results in the past years if they don’t understand way forward any longer.
He said, “The attention of the Osun State PDP have been called on the recent rating done by WAEC in which Osun State came 29th.
“We should note that, one of the major stake holders in educational settings are the teachers whom are to be encouraged by prompt payment of their salaries and other entitlements.
“It is on this note, that the leadership of Osun state PDP commiserate with the students, teachers and people of Osun-State in general for this trying period under the watch of Aregbesola and promised to work hand-in-hand with them in no distance time to reshape and redeem the image of our dear state among the committee of states in Nigeria.”
