Okorocha dissolves cabinet
The governor of Imo state, Chief Rochas Okorocha, has approved the immediate dissolution of the state executive council. The press release signed by the Principal Secretary to the governor, Mr. Pascal Obi, urged all former members of the executive council to hand over to permanent secretaries or to the most senior director in their ministries, department, and agencies.
The governor appreciated the “invaluable contributions” of the affected appointees to the success recorded by the rescue mission administration and wishes them well in their feature endeavours.
The Secretary to the State Government, the chief of staff,chairmen and members of statutory commissions such as ISEC, Civil Service Commission, Local government service commission, State universal Basic Education Board, Judicial Service Commission, and House of Assembly Service Commission are not affected on the dissolution.
In another development, governor Okorocha has approved the dissolution of the 27 transition committee of the 27 LG councils in the state.
Consequently the TC chairmen are directed to hand over to the directors of administration and General Services of their respective LG councils the governor appreciates the contributions of the TC chairmen to the success of the rescue mission and wishes them well in their feature endeavours.
