In the letter addressed to the chairman of the INEC, entitled; “Letter of Introduction,” the party informed the country’s electoral umpire that the NWC of the NNPP at its meeting in July approved the extension of the appointment of Prince Adekunle as the chairman, Caretaker Committee of the NNPP in Ogun State for three months with effect from July 28.

The party said the decision to appoint Adekunle as the state caretaker chairman followed the expulsion of the former chairman, Comrade Sunday Olaposi Oginni for alleged anti-party activities and the dissolution of the state executives under him.

The party called on INEC to accord Adekunle the due recognition and assistance he deserved.

With this development, the authenticity of chairmanship of Prince Adekunle seems to have been laid to rest, while Olaposi Oginni, according to the party, remained expelled.
