Niger Deputy Speaker Bako Alfa resigns

The Niger State House of Assembly deputy speaker, Bako Alfa, has resigned.

Alfa made his resignation known on Thursday, July 23 through a letter he submitted to the House which was read during plenary.

He is a member representing Bida 1 at the state house of assembly.

The Speaker, Abdullahi Wuse, who read the letter on the floor of the House, however, did not give details on why the deputy speaker resigned.

Meanwhile, the house has nominated Jibrin Baba representing Lavun constituency as the new deputy speaker.
