NDE trainees to produce standard products

The Kano state coordinator of the National Directorate of Employment, Alhaji Iliyasu Ahmad, has stated that efforts are been made to ensure that youths undergoing vocational skills acquisition training under the scheme produce world standard products.

According to him, the directorate has observed that lots of youths in the State who have under gone one form of training or the other end up producing products of low quality or just for the local consumption of their immediate environment.

In view of this, he said that the 100 youths currently undergoing skill acquisition training under the directorate would not only be taught on how to produce things but how to produce quality products and how to package their products in line with best standard practice in order to be able to compete with other products in the market.

Ahmad further revealed that the directorate would also assist the trainees at the end of the day where necessary with connections to export their products to markets outside the state and country at large.

The trainees whom are made up of 70 women and 30 men are undergoing training in four different areas such as computer training, GSM repairs, furniture and soap making.
