Malta Guinness, Ebony Life begins nationwide auditions for Life 101 drama series
Nigeria’s Number One premium Malt drink- Malta Guinness in partnership with Ebony Life TV, have launched the auditions for an exciting TV Drama Series tagged- Life 101. The Life 101 Drama Series is one to be looked out for as it promises to be filled with intrigue, suspense, comedy and Life lessons for all.
The auditions for the Life 101 Series which kicked off in Benin and Port-Harcourt saw hundreds of talented acts across different backgrounds gather at Da Civic Center in Benin City and The Atrium Hall in Port-Harcourt respectively to showcase their skills and take a shot at stardom.
As contestants in Benin and Port-Harcourt battled to wow the judges, the live auditions recorded mind blowing performances from talented acts as they memorized their scripts and rehearsed their lines and act- reflecting their innate talents and can-do spirit.
Contestants displayed the good, funny and also the weird moments that kept everyone entertained. For some contestants, this was the peak in their quest for stardom and for others; it was just the beginning of an awesome journey as they head off to the final call back auditions. Sequel to Benin and Port-Harcourt auditions; other cities slated for auditions are the Centre of Excellence, Lagos State- from 24th to 25th of August at Oakwood Park Hotel, Lekki and Nigeria’s first Federal Capital city, Calabar on 29th of August at Ebonylife TV, Tinapa studio.

Blossom Chukwujekwu stars alongside Hollywood act in ‘A Million Colour’
Talented Nollywood actor, Blossom Chukwujekwu is one of those few acts who has showcased the Nigerian talent outside the shores of the country as he recently featured in a yet to be released movie titled, ‘A Million Colour’.
Directed by Elvis Chucks, the movie features 2015 AMVCA best supporting actor, Blossom Chukwujekwu and Elin Gashlord as the main characters. Also starring in the movie about inter-racial love is Hollywood actress Sibongile Mlambo, who featured in TV series Black Sails and the movie Honey 3.
South African actress Xolile Tshabalala – from popular TV series Generations and Jacob’s Cross – as well as compatriot Pope Jerrod and American acts, Leanne Moore and Patrick Lee also feature in the film.
Omotola speaks on good script
Nollywood veteran, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, was recently on the set of a new movie titled “Alter Ego.”
Directed by Moses Inwang, the movie also stars Wale Ojo, Bobby Obodo, Kunle Remi, Esther Eyibio, Francis Ochie, and Elvina Ibru among others.
Speaking to Hip TV on the movie that is set to bring her back to the screen after three years, the actress said “Alter Ego” is amazing.”
“For a very long time, I couldn’t find a script that appealed to me,” she continued.
“I got to a point in Nollywood and filmmaking where the more I went out of the country and mixed with my colleagues internationally, I began to understand how much people respected my brand and what they expected of me, because when you’re back here you just get caught up in your normal stuff. You don’t really understand how big or should I say how much people expect of you, and so you are in your feelings.”
Every year you have someone asking me, “Omotola are you not doing movies again? Why are you not in movies?” but I said to myself until my find that project. It doesn’t have to be a multi-million naira project, but when I find that movie, that setup, that character that inspires me, I don’t mind even investing in it, but I will do it.”
And luckily, after three years or more, “Alter Ego” came along. I had to work with them on the script, but that was something there. I saw a crew for the first time. In a long time I haven’t seen that in Nollywood, everybody is kind of like set in their ways. But I saw these guys who are ready to just push boundaries, and I am ready with them.”
