KHF: African soccer legends storm Lagos
No less than 46 African Soccer Legends have confirmed their participation in the clash of legends in a Charity /Peace football match for Kanu Heart Foundation (KHF) and Nelson Mandela Foundation charitable initiatives.
According to the LOC General Secretary, Pastor Onyebuchi Abia, the April 29 event at Telsim Balogun Stadium will see the greatest gathering of the Continental bests will feature. Two former world footballer of the year and European Award winner Ambassador George Weah and Abedi Pele alongside Patrick Mboma, Anthony Bafoe, Kalusha Bwalya, Lucas Radebe, Mark Fish, Didier Drogba, Samuel Eto’ofils, El-Kadji Diouf, Kanu Nwankwo, Jay Jay Okocha,
Daniel Amokachi, Celestine Babajaro, Garba Lawal, Victor Ikpeba, Taribo West, Uche Okechukwu, Peter Rufai, Emmanuel Amuneke, Samuel Kuffuor, Fredrick Kanoute, Phil Masinga, Benjamin Mwaru Wari, Joseph Yobo, Peter Ndlovu, Christopher Katongo, Lomanu Lualua, Shuan Martlet, Roger Milla and Sampson Siasia will feature at the event.
Meanwhile corporate bodies such as MTN, Nigeria Breweries, South African Embassy and YFS
Global have indicated their preparedness to be part of this event which the Legends of African is using to make a statement against xenophobic attacks in the African continent.
Meanwhile business mogul and philanthropist Chief Tony Elumelu has accepted to be part of this wonderful event. The Chairman of Heirs Holding and Founder Tony Elumelu Foundation made this acceptance speech when the Vice President of African Legends Mr Nwankwo Kanu led LOC coordinator Prince Okonkwo to a courtesy visit in his Ikoyi office.
