Ibinabo Fiberesima-Egbuka Is Still Our President, Council Declares
As the fight between Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN) and top actor, Emeka Ike continues, the latest development concerning the squabble is Emeka Ike getting a court injunction to remove the National President of Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Ibinabo Fiberesima Egbuka from office thereby nullifying the AGN election of 2012, which brought her into office. However, the National Executive Council of the guild has issued a release, saying that Mrs. Egbuka is still their president.
The council noted that Ibinabo Fiberesima remains the National leader of the AGN as the court did not declare Emeka Ike President of the guild. However, the Registered Board of Trustees has gone to the Appeal Court to challenge the judgment.
In a telephone conversation with the Guild President, Ibinabo disclosed that there is no iota of truth in the news circulating about her administration as she remains the president of the guild.
