I am not leaving PDP – Nnamani

Former Governor of Enugu State, Sen. Chimaroke Nnamani has denied reports that he is planning to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Nnamani who was also alleged to be nursing a return to the National Assembly to represent Enugu East senatorial zone made the denial through his personal assistant and State Coordinator of Ebeano for Gburugburu 2019, Mr. Joseph Oyibo.

“Dr. Nnamani is still a bona-fide member of PDP and has not at anytime thought of leaving the party to APC.

“Those who are speculating that Nnamani the leader of Ebeano political group has dumped PDP are enemies of the Ebeano, who will do anything to blackmail the former governor, “he said.

“How can the former governor form Ebeano for Gburugburu 2019, a support group that is seeking the re-election of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi a PDP Governor be talking of dumping PDP for APC”, he asked.

The Coordinator said the inauguration of executives of Ebeano for Gburugburu 2019 in the three senatorial districts was to ensure they mobilize electorates in the zones that would give Ugwuanyi 99 per cent votes in 2019.

“The Ebeano for Gburugburu 2019 executives have been inaugurated in Enugu East, Enugu West and today in Enugu North senatorial district.

“The Ebeano political group was formed in 1999 since then it has produced governors, national and state lawmakers in Enugu State, the group is making efforts to bring back all members of Ebeano”, he said.
