Husband, Brother-In-law On Collision Course As Thugs Kidnap Wife, Kids

Pandemonium erupted in a remote community in Benin City when suspected cultists led by one Ikechukwu Nnalue stormed the residence of Collins Itua where they kidnapped his wife and children on December 1st 2023.

Collins itua, a native of Esan in Edo State, until the incident of December 1st has reportedly been living in constant danger of being attacked by his brother-In-law Ikechukwu Nnalue whose younger sister, Adaobi is married to Collins itua.

It was said that Ikechukwu Nnalue had earlier been strongly opposed to their marriage as he had always wanted his sister to be married to a man of native from the Southeast extraction and not a non-native and as such the marriage was reportedly said not to have received his blessings but rather attracted threats to the family of Collins itua right from the moment after marriage.

However on December 1st 2023, Ikechukwu Nnalue, a grassroot politician and also dreaded member of the Black-axe confraternity had with members of his group stormed the residence of Collins itua where they ruthlessly unleashed terror on his wife and children and thereafter ordered them into a waiting car before speeding off.

An eye-witness account who spoke on condition of anonymity, told our correspondent that Ikechukwu Nnalue had earlier in 2023 attacked Collins itua with his thugs by ruthlessly beating him up and thereafter threatened to eliminate him and members of his family .

According to the eye-witness account, the incident of December 1st was different from every other attempts on the family of Collins itua as it was said that the thugs led by Ikechukwu Nnalue fired gunshots sporadically in the community to announce their arrival as local residents reportedly scampered for safety.

The thugs, according to Information made available, were said to have angrily marched towards the apartment of Collins itua where he was said to have been unavoidably absent before his wife and children were ordered into a waiting car shortly after the thugs had threatened to eliminate each and every one of them before the arrival of Collins itua.

His wife and children were reportedly taken away to an undisclosed location by Ikechukwu Nnalue and his thugs, as Collins itua was said to have returned home to meet an empty apartment.

Sympathizers and neighbours were reportedly said to have gathered at his apartment to console the embattled Collins itua who wept profusely while lamenting that he had not known any peace from his brother-In-law from the moment he decided to marry his wife, Adaobi .

At the time of filing this report, Collins itua was said to have reportedly fled from the community and was seeking refuge in an undisclosed location after reporting at the police station the rather unfortunate incident of the kidnapping of his wife and children which led to obvious threats to his life by his brother-In-law and his thugs .
