Gunmen Kill APC Chieftain, Efeurhobo in Delta

The Delta state police command has confirmed the killing of a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sylvester Efeurhobo, in the state.
According to the police Public Relations Officer for Delta State Command, DSP Bright Edafe, Efeurhobo was assassinated his country home in Agbarho, Ughelli North Local Government Area of the State.
“Three suspects have been apprehended in connection with the gruesome murder just as investigation is ongoing. Efforts to apprehend the other members of the gang is also in full swing,” the police spokesman stated.
Efeurhobo was the Chairman of the APC support group known as the Achievers Group, a group that rallied support for the election of President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Also confirming the death of Efeurhobo, a leader of the APC in Delta State and the immediate past National Women Leader, Hon Stella Okotete described the deceased as a loyal, faithful and hardworking party member whose contributions to the victory in the state was immeasurable.
Hon Okotete urged security agencies to expedite action on their investigation and bring the culprits to justice.
“Prior to his death, precisely on April 3 2023, thugs had attacked him at his residence, an incident he reported to the Police alongside a petition sent to party chieftains in Abuja.”

Other party faithful in the community alson condemned the gruesome murder, with a plea on security agencies, particularly the police, to “fish out the hooligans and ensure that justice takes its due course in the matter.
The perpetrators should be brought to book, as we do mourn the deceased”, the party leaders stated.
