Gov Ganduje empowers 1,850 youths in various vocations

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State on Wednesday empowered yet another set of youths numbering about One thousand eight hundred and fifty (1,850) across the 44 Local Government Areas of the State as part of efforts towards making youths in the state, self reliant. During the grand ceremony, which took place at the Kano state Government House Open theatre, 150 Automobile Mechanic graduate from PAN Kaduna we’re empowered with necessary working tools needed to carry out their job professionally and cash support of N50,000 each. Ganduje also equipped 560 trained vulcanizers with modern working machines while 440 tricycle mechanics were received cash support of ten thousand naira each with tools and 300 NISDP ITF trainees in collaboration with the Kano state government were provided with sewing machine, plumbing tools, as well as other tools as it relates to their various fields. Addressing the beneficiaries, Ganduje stressed that, the state government has invested huge sum of money towards the empowerment of youths in the state after sponsoring and training them in various skill acquisition programs within and outside the state. The Governor explained that his administration has adopted measures that would ensure that youths become self reliant in sectors such as education, health agriculture and vocational skills providing opportunities for both male and female male in an attempt to bridge the gap between the two He charge the beneficiaries to make judicious use of all the equipment and other gadgets provided by the state government to become self employed and train others, to uplift themselves, family and the growth of the state economy as well as the nation at large. The Honourable Minister Labour Chris Ingige, represented by his Director, Ibrahim Jibiya described Ganduje as a youth friendly Governor whose’ empowerment programs is in line with the president Buhari’s cardinal programs of job creation and employment. He tasked the youths to reciprocate the gesture by being honest and hard working in their various vocations. The Commissioner, Kano State Ministry of information, youth and culture, Comrade Muhammad Garba, commended the state governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, over empowerment of 1,850 youths across 44 local government areas of the state, stressing that such gesture would go a long way in making youths self employed. Also that, the laudable move would also arrest social ills ,which often drag youths to committing crimes as am due to lack of employment, hinting that the million of naira spent on this is not a waste ,because it would have a positive impact on youths, who could have been roaming about the streets. “youths are the lubricant oil to socio -economic of the country ,hence the need for every government to m have them in mind by providing all necessary incentives that would made them self relevant. This empowerment, of youths, would equally move the state forward, through provision of job opportunities to others, who would learn one trade or another from these beneficiaries, who were being given various tools to assist them in their works.
