FRIN: Tinubu is a President to all Nigerians, Northern group lampoons Yoruba group

A Northern group under an umbrella Nigerians for Truth and Justice lampooned a Yoruba group who are masked with different pseudo names attacking the Director General/Chief Executive Officer Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria (FRIN) Ibadan, Zacharia Buba Yaduma.
The group In statement signed by its President, Comrade Mustapha Mai Zanna and made available to journalists blasted the group under the guise of FRIN Stakeholders over the appointment of Zacharia to head the Ibadan based institution.
The press indicated is exacerbating their show of pride of Yoruba hegemony of wanting to prove that the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is Yoruba and want to every possible to dominate all positions for their people.
The statement asked that why is that the sponsored under the cover of FRIN using an online medium platform owned by Yoruba and known for propagating mischief against Northern elites are not saying all these when President Muhammadu Buhari was at the helms of affairs.
The Northern group therefore made straight to all those planting seed of disunity to understand that Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu is President to all Nigerians not to Yoruba tribe alone.
The group boldly replied the FRIN Stakeholders who claimed Zacharia’s qualification has been exaggerated to suit his zest desire to become the FRIN DG.
They replied the group that Mr President has the prerogative power to appoint anybody as Director General in Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria because it is a national institution not a Yoruba’s.
The group urged Nigerians that the FRIN Act was followed and what the FRIN acts says is that Mr President can approve based on the strong recommendation of Honorable Minister, which was done by the former Minister of Environment and forwarded to Mr President through the Secretary to the Government of Federation (Boss Mustapha.
“That during immediate past administration, Mr President appointed Controller General of Customs , who was not in the service as a custom officer , would one said the President appointment was without qualifications?” the group asked.
They also reminded the sponsored group that the Executive Director of NIHORT was appointed by the immediate past President who is not a staff of National Horticultural Research (NIHORT) and members of staff love him whole heartedly because of his performance as an Executive Director.
They warned the group that their desire to bring disunity over the appointment of Zacharia as DG FRIN is rather unfortunate and are showing show of hatreds to Northern elites.
They situated so many appointments in their statement that when former President Muhammadu Buhari was there he appointed Yorubas to handle many parastatals and agencies in the North and they believe that President Tinubu is not a tribalistic Nigerian that he will dance to their tunes.
According to their statement that the immediate past DG was Yoruba, there is nothing bad to have Zacharia Buba Yaduma a northerner as Director General of FRIN.
“President Buhari was there, a Yoruba man governed the Institute. During President Tinubu, a Northern man is governing the Institute. The Institute is a National Institute and not a Yoruba Institute even as the plotters wants it to be.
“Any tribe can be appointed to rule or govern the Institute. Using tribal sentiment to plot against the current DG-FRIN will not speak good for the Nation.” The statement.

For the sake of unity, peace and progress, the group, Nigerians for Truth and Justice advised that all forms tribalism be jettisoned and allow the Institute’s Staff to continue enjoy the fresh air they are currently breathing under the leadership of Zacharia who got a vote of confidence by the Staff union of the institution.
According to them Zacharia got an endorsement for working and performing in the best interest of the institution’s acts and laws
“FRIN Act is in support of Yaduma’s appointment, it has followed the due process. FRIN was adulterated by unprofessional and Yaduma was trained by FRIN which made him more qualified above all candidates that the Former Minister strongly recommend for great change in the institute and we have seen and approved no better DG now apart from Zacharia Buba Yaduma”., the group stated.
