The Leader Joe 1808 Foundation has advocated for humanitarian intervention in Tudun Biri community of Igabi local government of Kaduna state following the unfortunate bombing by the Nigerian Army.
The Foundation made the call when it separately visited Sarkin IFRA as well as the member representing Igabi constituency at the House of Representatives, Hussaini Jallo ahead of its feeding programme coming up in the community.
A statement by Mr Theck Alhamdu Makeri Kaduna coordinator of the Foundation said the visit to the rep member and the community leader was to inform them of its humanitarian programme slated to hold in the community.
He said “The Leader Joe 1808 foundation visit to the Sarkin IFRA is in respect to the proposed “FEED A THOUSAND” project in Tudun biri community of Igabi LGA of kaduna state.
Mr Theck Alhamdu Makeri further explained that the planned intervention is aimed at “Providing Medical outreach, Distribution of food, and non food items Based on the needs assessment of the community and our collaboration with the primary health care board,”
In their separate remarks, Hon. Jallo, expressed his support for the forthcoming intervention adding that there are communities within the LGA that are worse underprivileged than Tudun biri that needs intervention too as government can’t do it alone.
Also the Chief of the community, Mr Balarabe Garba Abubakar said tudun biri community was an underserved community and the unfortunate bombing incident by the Nigerian Army have made it worse although they have received some interventions from both government and private institutions.
