Employment Racket: Police nab 2 fraudsters in Adamawa

Two fraudsters that perfected the act of issuing fake appointment letters to applicants seeking teaching appointments in public schools in Adamawa state have been arrested.

The executive secretary, Post Primary Schools Management Board, Alhaji Adamu Danjuma, said yesterday that the suspects were apprehended with fake appointment letters and had since been handed over to the police for prosecution.

Alhaji Danjuma, in an interview, categorically stated that the board is not recruiting nor replacing any staff as of now and warned the general public to be wary of the activities of fraudsters.

He said the board is trailing one of the fraudsters who specialized in forging signatures of former and the present executive secretaries of the board.

The Executive Secretary called on the general public to be on the alert and report any person who approaches them with such offer.

Sources at the Adamawa state Police Command Headquarters Yola, confirmed the story, saying the suspects would soon be arraigned in court upon completion of investigation.
