Eaglesnets Academy defeat Super Falcons 4-2 in friendly

Florence Omagbemi’s ladies suffered defeat in their first test match against an Abuja-based side as they continue preparations for this month’s Awcon in Cameroon
Nigeria’s senior women team were defeated 4-2 by FC Eaglenets in a friendly match played on the practice pitch, National Stadium, Abuja on Tuesday.
Goals from Chioma Wogu and substitute Francisca Ordega failed to overpower the Abuja-based male side who came from the behind to record victory in the six-goal thriller.
It was Florence Omagbemi’s ladies first tune-up match since they resumed their final training camp on October 9 ahead of this month’s African Women Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
“This is our first friendly game since we resumed and we try to use the boys to access those that are here,” Omagbemi told media.
“The game [Tuesday] tonight has given us an insight into what we need to expect. We are still building and we already have the most majority of the home-based now.
“We are still in the process as we expected the rest professionals to join us with about three that i’ve arrived in the last two days and the rest will be around by the weekend.
“We hope to get the best that we represent the country in Cameroon through some of the friendlies we have coming up,” she concluded.
