Eagles to hold first training today

Nigeria’s Super Eagles will have their first training in Abuja this morning ahead AFCON 2017 qualifiers against Egypt, officials have disclosed.

Eagles’ spokesman Toyin Ibitoye said the training in Abuja will be from 7am at the Abuja National Stadium and the squad are then expected to travel by road to Kaduna thereafter, where they will also train at the match venue Ahmadu Bello Stadium.

Today’s training is open to the public.

He further said a total of nine players have so far arrived the training camp.

The players include Chelsea star Mikel Obi, Alex Iwobi from Arsenal, Portugal-based Shehu Abdullahi as well as Umar Aminu, who is based in Turkey.
