Dr. Kayode Fayemi Steps Down

After winning the primary election in Ekiti State to contest as the next governor of the state, Dr Kayode Fayemi, the Minister of Solid Minerals Development stepped down from his the post.
Fayemi made the announcement last Wednesday at a valedictory briefing in Abuja, in order to pursue his governorship ambition in Ekiti State.

The former minister had earlier emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Ekiti State in the party’s rescheduled primary election, which held on May 12.

Now, the question on the lips of everyone is how Fayemi will regain his long loss seat from Ayodele Fayose who promised to do everything within his capacity to install his deputy as the new governor of the state.
