Dimgba eyes continental ticket with Sunshine
Winger Stanley Dimgba has said he hopes Sunshine Stars clinch continental ticket this season to cap a great year from him.
Sunshine Stars are fifth on the table with 50 points, six points behind leaders Rivers United, and face a tough road trip to second-placed Enugu Rangers this weekend.
“The championship is beyond us, but if we could beat Rangers in Enugu and win our next home game, we could pick up a continental ticket,” Dimgba told AfricanFootball.com
“Our target is to finish in third place now.
“It has been a great year for me – I joined Sunshine this year and I went to the Rio Olympics, where we won a bronze medal.
“And very soon I will move overseas, I’m just waiting for the transfer window to reopen in January.
“I have so many things to thank God for.”
