COVID-19: Report people from high risk states, Bauchi tells citizens

Citizens of Bauchi state have been urged to report any person coming to the state from high risk states of coronavirus for medical screening and investigation.

Executive Chairman, state Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr. Rilwanu Mohammed gave the advice when officials of the state branch of the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association donated some items to the state government.
Dr. Mohammed, who explained that reporting visitors and returnees to the state from high risk states will enable the state government tackle and control the spread of the coronovirus, saying that the donated items will no doubt reduce infection and prevention against the virus.
He said: “On behalf of the Chairman of our Task Force Committee on COVID-19 and Lassa fever, His Excellency, the Deputy Governor, Senator Baba Tela, I receive this items and I want to assure you that your own contribution will go a long way in helping us to control the virus.”

Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the association, Dr. Ibrahim Bello said the gesture is to contribute towards the fight against coronavirus in the state.
“Sir, the association appreciates all the efforts put in place by the state government to prevent the spread of COVID-19,” Bello stated.
He assured the government and people of the state of his association’s resolve to continue to render services in the ongoing campaigns against the spread of coronavirus disease.
