Coronavirus: Muslims seek divine intervention

Muslims in Enugu State, on Friday held prayers at the Central Mosque, Uwani, to ask for the God’s intervention to save Nigeria from the deadly Coronavirus.

The prayer session was organised at the instance of the Sarkin Hausawa, Alhaju Idri Ado Suleiman III in Enugu.

COVID-19, have been ravaging many parts of the world in recent times.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, many states, including Enugu, had locked down partially to avert the spread of the disease by closing schools, banning public gatherings as well as weddings and burial ceremonies.

In an address read on his behalf by Mr Ibrahim Sameila, the Sarkin Suleiman said, that Allah sustained mankind, removed illnesses and cured diseases.

He added that “there is no cure greater than that of Allah.

“Allah, we beseech you to grant us peace all over the nation and safeguard us because you are the source of safety,” he said.

The lead missionary, NASFAT, Muhammad Usman, noted that COVID-19 was a pandemic that threatened the world but thanked God the disease had not been reported in Enugu State.
