Claudia Sheinbaum: President Tinubu congratulates her on being selected as the first female President of Mexico
Her Excellency, Ms. Claudia Sheinbaum, is congratulated by President Bola Tinubu on becoming the first female president of the United Mexican States (Mexico).
Ms. Sheinbaum won the Mexican presidential election by a landslide, becoming the first female President in the country since its independence in 1821.

According to President Tinubu, the election of President-elect Sheinbaum highlights the voices of women in government, breaks down the political glass ceiling, and sends a global message that women must not only be participants in decision-making but also the primary designers of policies that impact the lives of many.
