Christ Embassy donates palliative items to 2,000 households in FCT

The Christ Embassy, Abuja Ministry centre, has donated over 2,000 various food items and condiments to the Federal Capital Territory Administration for the onward distribution to the vulnerables as part of their support to cushion the effect of the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic in the territory.

Making the donations, the Senior Pastor of the Christ Embassy Abuja, Pastor Tom Amenkhienan said it was the Church token of appreciation as well as support to ensure that the pandemic is contained in the nation’s Capital.

Covid-19 pandemic period is a time all stakeholders within the FCT need to identify with the FCTadministration by reaching out to support the less privileged in the society at this trying time.

While calling on the all stakeholders within the FCT to identify with the FCT Administration at this trying time by reaching out to support the less privileged in the society, he expressed optimism that the administration will ensure that the palliative items are being distributed to the poor and vulnerable families that are suffering from the COVID -19 pandemic.

“Today, we are donating these 2,000 bags of various food items to support the FCTA in the distributions of palliatives to the vulnerable, the poorest of the poor across the territory. We are here to join your efforts, as directed by our founding Pastor, Chris Oyakilomhe.

“Besides donating and supporting the FCTA on this pandemic journey, Christ Embassy Church has also succeeded in torching the lives of our members especially, the needy brethren in our church because we can’t afford to live them to suffer at this lockdown periods” The Senior Pastor explained

In her remarks, the FCT Minister of State who also doubkes as the Chairman, FCT COVID-19 Palliative Committee, Dr. Ramatu Aliyu commended the church for identifying with the vulnerables in FCT in a critical period of needs.

She promised that the committee will ensure that the food items which includes bags of rice, indomie, garri, beans semovita as well as packets of sanitizers and face masks, promised adequate supervision to ensure that the palliative gets to the vulnerable people in the communities.

“This pandemic period is a time the FCT will continue to appreciates those that contributes to alleviate the suffering of the vulnerable as a result of the lockdown.”
