Chibok Girls: Buhari vows to continue to secure Nigerians

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday promised that his administration will continue to secure the lives of all Nigerians in every part of the country.
He was reacting to the release of 21 Chibok girls out of the over 200 abducted by the Boko Haram in April 2014 from Borno State.
The President spoke with journalists just before departing the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja for Berlin, Germany for security talks with the German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
He said that he was pleased by the release of the 21 Chibok girls.
He said “Well I am very pleased about it. I expect you to get through to the minister of information and culture Lai Mohammed, I believe he will be duly briefed by the vice President so that he will give you the details. I have just been briefed about it.
“To Nigerians all over, it is our responsibility and we will continue to secure them wherever they are.” He stated.
The 21 released girls, according to reports have since been moved to Abuja are currently with the Department of State Services (DSS).
Medical experts are said to have been assembled to examine the girls’ health condition before they could be re-united with their families.
