Otobo said that the students were among others from across the world that had applied for the Global Canvas 2020 Children’s Art Competition.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Global Canvas Children’s Art Competition is the brain child of David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF).
It was created to inspire students from across the world to contribute their quota to improving and advancing the course of man through art.
The statement said that the children would display works on endangered wildlife during the competition.
The statement said that the Education Manager at DSWF, Mr Jo Elphick, had sent a congratulatory letter to Caleb British International School.
He said in the letter that the standard of entries received this year was very high.
Elphick said that this had made the selection of entries that made the final list a really difficult job.
“We could see just how much thought, effort and time the children had put into their display.
“The school’s entry is a 3D recycled work of art titled: Endangered Species under Water and Plastic Pollution.
“The students who worked on this project were from different classes and exhibited the 21st Century skills of creativity, critical thinking, communication and collaboration,” he said.
Otobo also said that the students from the school had been scheduled to visit the Royal Academy of Arts, London, Tate Modern, London, British Museum, London and Cartoon Museum, London.
He said that the school had scheduled to depart Nigeria on March 7 for the exhibition to return to Nigeria on March 14.
Otobo advised students who would be interested in being part of the London exhibition to contact the school.
