Breast cancer, threat to beauty, says Mrs Tourism UN

The founder of ‘Women Are Beautiful Inside and Out’ (WABIO), Mrs. Ebele Enemchukwu, better called Mrs Tourism United Nations has identified breast cancer as a threat to beauty, explaining, “The WABIO vision is to be one of the major contributors to the third and fifth sustainable Developmental Goals of improving maternal health, promoting gender equality and empowering women.”

The WABIO event took place at the Civic Centre, Ozumba Mbadiwe Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, recently.Speaking further, the Queen noted, “Our mission is to constantly remind women and girls thatbeauty transcends the physical by churning out and engaging in inspiring programs which encourage same.”

According to her, it was revealed that if the scourge of breast cancer is not checked, by 2030, Nigeria would be recording a dreadful 500,000 new cases of breast cancer annually from the current 100,000! But she expressed optimism that, “Together with our Health Partners, we will not stop until the ignorance war is won.”
