Fourteen persons were reportedly abducted in a fresh attack on Dogon Noma community in Kajuru local government area of Kaduna State.

Stingo said, “The bandits invaded the community on Saturday, at about 5:45am and kidnapped 14 people while one person was seriously injured.

“The attacks on our community have been persistent since 2019 and there seems to be no to end.”

The lawmaker lamented the persistent, saying government lacked the political will to end banditry in the state.

He said, “If the government has the political will to end it, soldiers will clear the bandits from their hideouts in the bushes within a few days.”
“In 2019, the bandits killed 71 people in just one day. In 2022, they abducted 28 people in the community after killing 32 people in one day. We had to pay ransom with difficulties.”

The attack on Dogon Noma occured barely four days after the bandits invaded Buda Hausa community, also in Kajuru LGA, abducting 61 persons who are still in captivity.

Mansir Hassan, spokesperson person of the Kaduna state police command could not be reached as his mobile phone was switched off when contacted for reaction.
