Bale Celebrates Return to Form
Times have been tough in recent weeks for Real Madrid star, and former Tottenham attacker, Gareth Bale. The Welsh wizard had not scored in his last nine appearances for the club, stretching back to January 24.
Goals are lacking, as are performances. He has been poor in recent weeks with his passing, dribbling and decision making all below par.
In midweek, against Schalke, he was particularly worrying. He gave away possession on numerous occasions and had the Real Madrid fans frustrated as they were beaten 4-3 on the night by the German side.
Considering he cost Real Madrid a world record fee when they signed him from Tottenham in 2013, the fans are right to be frustrated. They showed their frustration by whistling and booing Bale during the fixture with Schalke.
Bale was the hero for Real Madrid in their tie with Levante, scoring both goals in a 2-0 victory at the Bernabeu.
The flying forward was superb and he celebrated in style, covering his ears in what was seemingly a reference to the recent criticism sent his way.
