APC legal team to Atiku: We are ready for you
The All Progressives Congress (APC) legal team has indicated its readiness to meet with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar who has threatened to go to court after rejecting the last Saturday’s Presidential election result released by the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC).
The learned gentlemen after rising from its emergency meeting held on 27 Feb 2019, the Legal Directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Council Congratulates President Muhammadu Buhari for winning the 2019 presidential election, thanking Nigerians for their overwhelming support.
It also commends the presidential candidates of other political parties and their support groups for their general respect for the law in campaign activities,
Condemning the few cases of violence in some parts of the country, he called on the appropriate authorities to deal with the perpetrators in accordance with the law.
According to a communiqué signed by Prof. Mamman Lawan Yusufari Deputy Director, APC Presidential Campaign Team, called on interested parties who are not satisfied with the results of the elections to challenge same by following due process of the law, affirming its readiness to defend the resounding victory of President Muhammadu Buhari with all the legal expertise at its disposal.
