Anambra Central Senate poll: Anaocha Council boss congratulates Umeh

The Transition Committee Chairman, Anaocha Local Government Area, Mr. Ikeobi Ejiofor, has congratulated senator-elect for Anambra Central Senatorial District, Chief Victor Umeh, on his victory at the polls.
Ikeobi, who spoke at an interactive session with journalists at his office, confirmed that Sen. Umeh had since been sworn in by the Senate.
He thanked the people of Anambra State for supporting APGA during the election, saying he had no reservation regarding Umeh’s ability to give Anambra Central, qualitative representation at the National Assembly.
According to him, Umeh’s vast exposure and experience will stand him in good stead to carry on his duties effectively for the area that had been denied representation for a long while.
Ikeobi, then, commended Gov. Willie Obiano for standing behind Umeh during the political impasse that denied the central senatorial zone representation at the Assembly.
According to him, the development and people-oriented programmes of Obiano administration have endeared the people of the state to APGA.
“APGA is sure to win elections in other states in the 2019 General Elections.’’
