Almakura Leads Buhari Organisation to Aso Rock, Thanks Tinubu for Honouring Buhari

Former Governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Umaru Tanko Almakura, on Tuesday led members of The Buhari Organisation (TBO) on a courtesy visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, expressing gratitude for the state burial accorded to the late former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Almakura described Tinubu’s role in the burial as “a powerful statement of dignity, loyalty, and legacy,” noting that the gesture went beyond protocol to reflect deep respect for Buhari’s memory.
“When our leader passed on, the nation grieved. You not only presided over his burial but ensured it was befitting, with full military honours. Your presence throughout the ceremony was both comforting and reassuring,” Almakura said.
He stressed that Tinubu and Buhari shared more than political ties, pointing out that their alliance was built on a shared vision for discipline, justice, economic sovereignty, and responsible governance. He linked Buhari’s legacy to Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, describing it as “a blueprint for national restoration” rather than a mere slogan.
Almakura assured Tinubu of the group’s “full and unwavering support” for his administration and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), promising loyalty and mobilization ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He commended the President’s efforts in promoting peace and unity despite the challenges inherited by his government, while urging him to intensify efforts to secure every part of the country.
“Mr President, we are with you in principle and in purpose. May Almighty God continue to grant you the strength, wisdom, and protection to lead this nation to the promised land,” he added.
The Buhari Organisation, which was central to mobilization during Buhari’s political journey, pledged to sustain its commitment to the APC’s ideals under Tinubu’s leadership.
