Airbus to Offer More Seating Options

Airbus plans to demonstrate its new cabin configurations at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, Germany.

Airbus is showcasing its Airbus Comfort Economy 18-inch wide seat, and ‘Budget Economy’ seating, as well as its mock-up for the A380’s new 11-abreast Budget Economy configuration at 18-inch seat width.

For the A320 Family cabin, Airbus is showcasing its new pivoting overhead stowage compartment mock-up, which offers 60 per cent more stowage of roll-on trolleys.

Airbus plans to offer 9-abreast for its A330s, which would be of interest to Asian airlines serving price-sensitive customers. Airbus has also indicated that there was interest from airlines for a 10-abreast A350 configuration.
