African Icon Awards – Reverend Mother Esther Abimbola Ajayi emerges Grand Patron

The organizers of the prestigious African Icon Awards, In-House Entertainment LTD have announced the Spiritual Head of the Love of Christ Church, London, and the Founder of the Esther Ajayi Foundation, Her Eminence, Reverend Mother Esther Abimbola Ajayi as the event Grand Patron for 2018.

Reverend Mother Ajayi who is mostly referred to as the Mother Theresa of Africa was elated to take this new appointment. At an interview at the Presidential suite of the Eko Hotel and Suites Lagos recently, Reverend Ajayi said “It is a pleasure for me to be so honoured, and this is a call to service, a call to ensure Africa becomes better.

As humans, we are called to give to make humanity better, a call to ensure we leave the world better than we met it”. She concluded.

When asked why the choice of Reverend Ajayi, the President of the awards, Ambassador Ayo George said, “we consulted widely, we approached the board as well, it was a unanimous decision to appoint and announce Her Eminence, the moment her name was mentioned.

We see in her the true meaning of motherhood. She is passionate about anything she does and very submissive to her husband, which is a lesson every African woman needs to learn.

The event aims to bring Africa together and further promote that community living and bond, Her eminence exudes features that can help us achieve these”. He said

African Icon Awards 2018 will be hosted by Nigeria, and a venue and date shall be announced soon as the road show begins across 6 countries.
