‘Benson not sacked by Ikorodu United’
Nigeria league club Ikorodu United have denied the dismissal of coach Edema Benson.
“Coach Edema Benson , who was in interim capacity as the chief coach before the appointment of coach Sam Okpodu, is still an integral part of Ikorodu United Football Club as the assistant coach,” read part of a statement signed by Ikorodu United media officer Babatunde Ayoola .
They are second from bottom of the table with five points from nine matches.
On Sunday, they lost their sixth game of the season at home to Rivers United.
