Nolly Thursdays to host Stephanie Linus
Nolly Thursdays which has been described as the new Industry Night” for the Nigerian film industry, is geared towards promoting and celebrating Nollywood movies (old and new) in the cinema.
The fourth edition of the event is set to hold today, Thursday, March 10, 2016, with Stephanie Linus, whose directorial debut “Dry,” recently won the 2016 AMVCA “best overall movie.”
Stephanie Linus started her acting career as a teenager in 1997 when she starred in two Nollywood movies, “Compromise 2″ and “Waterloo.”
After graduating from the New York Film Academy in 2007, Stephanie released the movie “Through the Glass” in which she served as director, scriptwriter, producer and actress. The film received an African Movie Academy Award nomination for Best Screenplay in 2009.
‘Dry’ tells the story of Halima, a teenager who had to endure a life not designed for a child: to be married to a man who was more than four times her age.
This Thursday’s edition of Nolly Thursdays will be hosted by Folarin Falana (Falzthebahdguy), winner of 2016 AMVCA Best Actor in a Comedy.
