Security officers invaded an hotel in Lagos to stop menace of LGBTQ+ activities

Sequel to an incident that happened in 2022 when some police officers raided an apartment in Abeokuta in respect of the information gathered from the residents of the community that two female named Blessing Nkechi Adekayaoja and her partner Shade Sholola on May 7, 2022 engaged in same sex activities because their behaviour and their activities are not in line with constitution of Nigeria and also against the norms and values of their community. Since then, police have been on surveillance for them.
Two months ago, nemesis caught one of them recently named Shade Sholola who was caught with illicit act with one of her other same sex partners at an undisclosed hotel in Ikeja, Lagos state and was arrested by policemen while trying to escape with her partner which her name is yet to be known but her colleague was fortunate to run away.
The resident of the area and the management of the hotel disassociate themselves from the same sex activities of the two girls, some of the occupants of the area said they saw strange faces some couple of weeks ago along their street but they taught the presence of people was as a result of yearly carnival the hotel management was trying to organize being their usual yearly practice and that was why they are unable to report to the police at that time.
While interrogating Shade Sholola at the station by the policemen, she confessed that she’s not the only one involving in LGBTQ+ activities that their ring leader named Blessing Nkechi Adekayaoja police were looking for the other time had relocated to abroad for fear of being arrested, we got information from our reporter that policemen later arrested their colleagues mentioned by Shade Sholola during interogation. Other people in their custody are Seyi Falade, Funmilayo Ayinke, Busola Oriyomi and Omobunmi Peter.
Police authority continues their investigation and went to Blessing Nkechi Adekayaoja’s house in Abeokuta, Ogun State with the hope they would be able to interrogate her neigbour at her residential house, they were surprised when one of the tenants in Blessing’s house told the policemen that went there that her two children came home for holiday but were attacked and beaten by the community members on December 22, 2024 because of their mother involvement in LGBTQ activities, our reporter said Blessing’s children were beaten and were fortunate to be released through the assistance of vigilante group who intervened, they were able to run away to unknown location but police authority had informed their other divisional police stations to arrest Blessing two children named Mariam Melody Adekayaoja and Hamzat Clinton Adekayaoja, so that Blessing would be forced to report at their police station if the two children were arrested.
Our reporter also heard from one of her neigbours that Blessing used the opportunity to secure admission in Canada to avoid arrest by policemen but unfortunate she had already ran away because of the incident that happened to her on May 7, 2022, in respect of her sexual activities with Shade Sholola but both were fortunate to escape at that period.
During discussion with one of the residents in that area we learnt that Blessing children were running from one location to another for fear of being arrested by the Authority. Since the allegation was levelled against Blessing and her colleagues all effort to arrest Blessing proved abortive due to her relocation to another country, her two children, Melody Adekayaoja and Hamzat Clinton Adekayaoja might also make attempt to leave the country because of their mother predicament while Shade Sholola that was caught in the hotel with her partner have been transferred to investigation department for further interrogation as at the time of our report.
According to one of the police officers which sorted to remain anonymous, he said since some parents failed in their responsibility to train their children and prohibit them against the LGBTQ activities the police authority would ensure that they arrest Blessing children namely Mariam Melody Adekayaoja and Hamzat Clinton Adekayaoja so that she would be forced to appear at their divisional police station. They confirmed with our reporter that all their divisional police stations have been contacted to arrest the remaining culprits.
