Pirlo to freeze out Ramsey

Aaron Ramsey could be on his way out of Juventus as new manager Andrea Pirlo does not see the 29-year-old as part of his plans going into the 2020/2021 season.

The ex-Arsenal man has endured a tough first season in Italy, finding a starting berth difficult to clinch in a star-studded Juventus midfield.

With departures trailing Blaise Matuidi and Adrien Rabiot, there was increased hope that the Welshman could play a bigger role in the Old Lady’s bid to gun for their 10th successive Scudetto as well as an elusive UEFA Champions League crown.

The Welsh midfield star is one of Juve’s highest earners with a £400,000 weekly basic salary and, still, has three years still left on his current contract. Should Pirlo ultimately pull the plug on Ramsey, there is believable indication that he may be staging a return to the Premiership.
