80-year-old man marries 78-year-old girlfriend after dating for 25 years

After 25 years of being together as unmarried lovers, Kwaku Gynmfi and Adwoa Asantewaa got officially married on Saturday, July 13, 2019.

The elderly lovebirds, through their intimacy and endurance have become sudden sensation due to their colourful marriage during their golden years.

According to a report by Tuko.co.ke, an online media platform monitored by Daily Times, Kwaku Gyamfi who is still youthful at 80 and his 78-year-old wife Adwoa Asantewaa are from Ghana.

The report quoted a radio station, Peace FM as saying that the couple dated for more than two decades before deciding to settle down and be in each other’s lives forever

Adwoa always wanted to get married ever since she was a young girl. Before getting into a relationship with Kwaku, the lady lived with another man and the two had seven kids together.

Kwaku also had an ex who bore him four beautiful children but the two were not legally married. After leaving their partners, the two lovebirds fell in love and lived in ‘sin’ for 25 years before deciding to make things official

Their wedding day which was marked by pomp and colour caught the attention of thousands on social media. Just a single photo of the memorable ceremony left people believing that true love surely exists.

All those who had given hope on one day finding their soul-mates promised to wait a little longer so love can come their way, the report said.
