Obiano’s victory, sign that God has triumphed of political scheming –Asuzu

Dr. Ramas Okoye Asuzu Amb.P., renowned traditionalist and universal thinker, is also a political commentator. The Akajiofo Onundigbo gburugburu of Anambra State in this telephone interview with The Daily Times’ GBUBEMI GOD’S COVENANT SNR, speaks on Saturday governorship election in Anambra State and the implication of Chief Willie Obiano’s victory to the people of the state.

“The victory of Willie Obiano (Akpokuodike) at the polls is significant. It symbolises the triumph of the supernatural over political scheming and ranting of people who don’t have the interest of Anambra land and people at heart.”

This was the way Dr. Ramas Okoye Asuzu chose to commence his reaction to Saturday’s victory of the governor of Anambra State; Chief Willie Obiano shortly after his victory was announced.

Speaking with The Daily Times on telephone from his home in Anaocha Local Government Area of the state, the traditional father said that the God of heaven has vindicated him.

“I made bold to tell Anambrarians that God will come to judgement in Saturday’s election. I swore on the Ofo Igbo against all opposition that my decreed victory for Obiano cannot be thwarted.

“I, the authentic oracle spoke through the Ofo (the Igbo sacrament of truth, equity and good judgement) and the rain that followed the election was a confirmation of my heavenly decree.”

Ramas was full of praise to the Almighty God for the peaceful election “because before the election, we had so many threats from IPOB, money bags like Emeka Ofor, Arthur Eze, Peter Obi and many others who threatened that they will unseat our incumbent governor whether Anambra people liked it or not.

Then we all came out and declared that this will never happen. The oracle had declared that “APGA bu nkeanyi” (APGA is our own). If we lose APGA in Igbo land, if we allow personal interests to vote out APGA, Igbo people will have no value anymore.”

Ramas takes credit for destroying all the plans and mischievous plots of all opposing parties. “When I saw what was building up and Obiano had no idea what was coming for his government, I rose up as Aka Jiofo of Igboland and dislodged them.

That was why all the plans of the opposition fell flat and it looked as if they had not done anything in the beginning.”

Ramas who printed posters and banners and went on statewide campaign for APGA in the days concluding the election said, “I saw what the opposition parties were doing, working underground, moving cash and giving credit cards and smart phones to poor people in rural areas to buy votes and I took the bull by the horn.

“Clearly they aimed to intimidate Obiano’s government because they had so much money to push everywhere, but God prevailed because politics in Abambra is no longer politics of money bags.

Speaking on the President’s visit to the state, Dr. Ramas who had predicted back in 2003 that four parties will merge to overtake the PDP and proclaim that Muhammadu Buhari was the man that God was sending to deliver this nation, had this to say:

“When news that Mr. President was coming to Abambra on the heels of the election came, there was fear everywhere that APC will rig the election, but I reminded my people that Muhammadu Buhari is the man that God had sent to discipline Nigeria and save the country.

I told them that our President is a man of discipline; he has come to Anambra State to fulfill his party obligation and not to influence or manipulate the election, because he (Buhari) said the election in Anambra State will be fair and credible.

I assured them that Buhari will not interfere in the election in Anambra, and he didn’t disappoint us.”

On the influence and political future of Emeka Ojukwu Jnr.
The Prophet who was livid with the first son of late warlord, Dim Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, Emeka Ojukwu Jnr, declared him a prodigal son.

“We remember Peter Obi as the man who brought Ojukwu, down with partial stroke, to Onitsha and pleaded with Anambra people to honour his last request by voting Peter Obi in for a second term in office – and the people honoured the words of a dying man.

“That same Peter Obi later was to burn Ojukwu’s images publicly. Now for Ojukwu’s own son to come out openly to try to destroy his late father’s foundation and declared for the APC is a taboo to the whole of Igbo land and nation.

“He must undergo thorough cleansing there in Nnewi before he can be free of that abomination. If he fails to do so, the spirit of his father will follow him everywhere to torment him,” he said.

The prophet recalled that it was the same thing they did when late Ojukwu’s corpse was yet in the mortuary: “He went to take chieftaincy title from Eze Nofia; even Eze Nri, was giving people chieftaincy title and celebrating while Ojukwu’s corpse lay in the mortuary.

That was an affront to Igbo tradition and a taboo which was condemned by all Igbos worldwide.”

His Prophetic vision of Anambra State beyond Obiano
The highly revered Prophet who declared his divine mandate in the government of Obiano, to guide and guard against derailment of APGA and this government said he sees a rising mountain in the ruling APGA in the very near future.

“I aim to hold the spiritual balance and restructure APGA if the BoT will not contend with my great spiritual mission.

I will make it to become an all encompassing Igbo party. As it is now, APGA is only on the lips of the leaders, they don’t even know the deep spiritual content of this great party.

“I will show Obiano the spiritual roadmap to the greatness and future of Anambra State if he embraces my good intent to make his second term one of lasting legacy in the state, even beyond his government.

After the tenure of Obiano, I intend to hang a flag in Nnewi for the South South and I know the best candidate among Andy and Ifeanyi Ubah to move Anambra forward.

What is the likelihood that Obiano will accept his proposal?
“I am a Prophet and a dream child and my dreams come true. My oracle, Isinmili nani, woke me up and said, APGA is going to win.

I made posters and flyers and went to the television and radio stations and proclaimed, The oracle says, “APGA bu Nkeany”.

I am dreaming that Obiano will not reject my proposed inclusion in his government and as a BoT of APGA, so that I can turn things around and remove those working against the interests of the party and Anambra course.”

“It would be recalled that before Obiano became governor in the first place, I went to Ekwueme Square with all the stakeholders in the Igbo polity and declared that we must accept Obiano as governor instead of risking somebody we don’t know and somebody we don’t trust their pedigree.

“After he became governor, Obiano did not remember me and did not acknowledge my spiritual and physical input into making him a governor.

“I ignored them for many years, but when I saw the great plot of the opposition parties this time around, I forgave Obiano and because of my love for the future of Anambra State, I rose again to intervene and ensured his re-election was not thwarted.

“If they fail to recognise my spiritual input and all the millions of personal money I have spent this time around to ensure stability and continuity for Obiano’s second term, that would be unwise and could lead to disaster;

but I am a father over my people and I want the best for my people, so Obiano and his government should take heed and make a wise choice by accepting and embracing my proposed inclusion.”
