I don’t believe in mistress, Okowa tells critics, opposition party members

Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, has replied his critics including opposition party members in the state who recently alleged that he lost $10million to his mistress (actress) based in the United States of America (USA).
Okowa had in the recent times been rumoured to have allegedly laundered the federal government’s bailout fund of $10 million through his mistress, a Nigeria born actress based in the United States of America (USA); the actress, it was alleged eventually duped him of the money.
But the Governor at a media parley Tuesday in Asaba described the allegation as spurious, adding: “I don’t believe in mistress, I have embraced God over 10 years ago, I’m a Christian who do not believe in mistress, the allegation was strictly the handwork of my critics and opposition party members”.
The Governor explained that the report was not only malicious, but unfounded as the federal government’s bail out was never paid in dollars, adding that bailout funds was judiciously used for infrastructural development of the state.
Dr. Okowa disclosed that despite the economic recession, his “SMART Agenda” for Deltans was still on course, particularly the job creation where over 18, 000 jobs had been created in the past one year and eight months of his administration.
