300 trucks of fertilizer for Yola -Agric Commissioner

Adamawa state Commisioner of Agriculture,Alhaji Ahmadu Waziri assured the entire people of the State that over 300 trucks of NPK fertilizer will be in the state latest in ten days time.
Waziri said this while responding to question at Tuesday plenary of the state’s House of Assembly on asking him why the distribution of the fertilizer is taken Longer time than expected.
According to him the company in charge of distribution has disappointed the ministry beyond the terms of agreement, and is taken the blames of all the failure, on certainty assured the lawmakers of bringing the fertilizer in ten days time.
While at the plenary session Member representing Hong constituency, Hon. Hassan Mamman Barguma told the Commissioner to as a matter of urgency do all he can to bring the fertilizer within the stated date to avoid all sort of complaints by the people who have been waiting for the fertilizer for this year’s farming season.
Waziri was invited to further explain to the house and to Adamawa people why the unnecessary delay, farmers and many people have booked the fertilizer long time ago but do not received it and this year’s farming season is getting to an end.
According to the Chairman house committee on agriculture and a member representing Ganye,Hon. Alhassan Hammanjoda that his coming have clear so many doubts and are given him the benefit of doubts in ten days to come.
He told the lawmakers initially the state government ordered for 9 metric tonne of NPK fertilizer, which is about 300 trucks and was paid for, but 227 trucks was received and a balance of 73 trucks is yet to be delivered.
