Zenke credits wife with ‘special promotion’ goal

Former Nigeria youth international Simon Zenke has dedicated his goal which helped Karabukspor beat hosts Gotzepe 2-1 to secure promotion to the Turkish Super League to his wife.
Zenke, who described the goal as ‘special’, revealed that his wife has been putting pressure on him to get back to goal-scoring form and so he was delighted it happened at such a crucial time of the season.
“What came to my mind immediately I scored was my wife because she has been on my neck for long to score goals,” he revealed.
He credited divine help for his club’s promotion.
“I can’t really describe the feeling after achieving this feat. We have come a long way as there have had ups and downs throughout the season, but in the end we achieved our aim and all glory to God,” Zenke stated.
