We have found and retrieved missing result sheets from Ekweremadu’s LGA, says INEC

The Enugu State’s Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Emeka Ononamadu, last night delivered to the Commission’s office, a wrapped parcel containing the result sheets earlier reported to be missing. Reports had it on Thursday that result sheets for Aninri, one of the local government areas that make up Enugu West Senatorial District were still missing. Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekeremadu hails from the District. The INEC commissioner had assured Nigerians that the materials would be delivered on Thursday evening or early Friday. After series of meetings with security agencies in the state, including the Police, State Security Service, Nigeria Customs Service, among others, the Commissioner was said to have swung into action and returned to the office at about 11.PM with the materials. “I can tell you that we are more than ready now. All other materials have already been distributed and in an open and transparent manner. We have been open to all stakeholders and particularly the political parties,” he said.
