Fintiri warns youths against looting of warehouses in Adamawa

Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has alleged that some persons in the state are sponsoring criminals to unleash mayhem and upturn the existing peace in the state.

Governor Fintiri said there’s credible intelligence about some youths who are gearing up to break into Government and private warehouses in the state, noting that his government will deal firmly with those out to threaten citizens over their personal interest.

Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Humwashi Wonosikou in a statement signed stated that Government will not stand by and watch hoodlums and their sponsors incite citizens to take the law into their hands.

“I will not fold my arms and watch anyone or any group of people trying to sabotage the Government,” Governor Fintiri said.

Governor Fintiri wondered why they are refusing to utilise available channels to address their concerns and instead planning to engage in acts of sabotage.

“If criminals believe that Adamawa State is a place for them to operate, be warned that you will find this state too hot to stay. We are aware that some in our society are giving support to these criminal elements to upturn the peace in our state. They will not succeed. We will make sure that they don’t succeed.”
