Violent Cult Group killed two, declared son wanted in Borno

The local vigilante group in Maiduguri, the Borno State Capital, have arrested some members of the daredevils Buccaneers Confraternity following their alleged brutal murders of John Oto and his brother, Mr. Patrick Oto, on September 5, 2024.

It was gathered that upon interrogation, the suspected killer-cultists who claimed membership of the Buccaneers confessed to the crime.

They disclosed that they were after the life of their prime target, one Monday Oto, now at large.

The hoodlums alleged that Monday alongside with his cult members, Black Axe Cult (Aye Confraternity) group made attempt on the life of their member.

According to the suspects, they decided to killed Mr. John Oto and his brother Patrick, in order to force the fleeing Monday Oto out of his hideout since his whereabouts was unknown to them.

Despite being arrested by the local security agents, the deadly gunmen vowed to huntdown their target, Monday Oto even if it caused them going to jail.

They added that their members spread across the nooks and crannies in the country and even abroad will bring Monday below the six feet.

Speaking with our crime reporter on the condition of anonymity, a source disclosed that the suspected Buccaneers have been searching for Monday apparently to avenge for their member who was almost killed by yet-to-identified gunmen.

According to the source, piqued by the unknown whereabouts of their target (Monday), the Buccaneers in a commando-like-style invaded Mr. John home where they gun him and his brother Patrick down.

As at the time of filing this report, the whereabouts of Monday Oto remains unknown.
