Victim of alleged military brutality demand justice

A middle aged man, Mr. Emmanuel Akoje, has demanded justice for being allegedly brutalized by Military men in Agbor community, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State last weekend.
Akoje who spoke to our correspondent, on Sunday, said he had petitioned the Commandant, Nigeria Army Base Owa Ekei Road, Boji Boji
Owanta, and the office of President Muhammed Buhari over the intimidation and harassment with grievous bodily harm and brutality allegedly perpetuated by one Corporal Auwalu Sunday, a military officer attached to a company in Agbor.
Following the incident, the victim said he was calling on the high army command to fish out the said officer and bring him to book over the alleged brutality he suffered in the hands of the officers. His lawyer, Mr. Christian Agboma, said that the victim last weekend had gone to Oando Filling Station in
Agbor to buy fuel and right there he meet the said military officer allegedly beating up an unknown person who also was at the fitting station to buy fuel.
Akoje’s petitioner stated that he snd other good Nigerians present at the scene pleaded with the officer to stop the alleged beating of the person especially when he had allegedly inflicted injuries on him, adding that their plea fell on deaf ears, rather the officer
allegedly assaulted Akoje.
