VC charges graduates with good behaviour

The Vice Chancellor of the university of professionalism and management  Gbedjromede, Sossa Cotonuo, Republic of Benin, Dr. Fatoke Miftaou, has charged the graduating students of the school to be of good character in the larger society after their academic pursuits.

Addressing the graduating students at the first convocation ceremony of the school held recently, the VC said the school had certified the graduates worthy in academics and character, adding that they should be good ambassadors of the school anywhere they might find themselves in the world.

Miftaou, who expressed his gratitude and joy for the coorperation between the management and students of the institution, said such attitude had contributed a lot to the glory of the school despite being in its initial stage of academic development.

The students graduated from various faculties such as Faculty of Management, Faculty of Applied Science, Faculty of Social Science, Faculty of Health Sciences and Faculty of Arts and Humanity.

Meanwhile, new students were admitted to various courses, taking matriculation oath to be of good behaviour in the school and abide by the rules and regulations of the institution.

A brief seminar lecture was delivered by Dr.Obanla A.B from Poma Business International University on ‘Importance of Entrepreneurship’ to the graduating students.

In his speech, Dr.Obanla expressed his joy to the Almighty God for making their final year academic session a huge success. He enjoyed the outgoing graduates not to wait on government to do everything for them but rather to be more proactive and well focused by practicalising what they were taught in school to be self–employed by using it to help themselves and the people of their community so that they could be worthy and working graduates in the society.

Dr. Mrs. Willoughby Stella from Ultimate University who delivered a lecture on ‘Academic Excellence’ to the matriculating students, charged them to always be up and doing in their academic journey in the institution, saying it would make them have a good career when leaving the university for labour market.

The registrar admin, Mr. Adhere Martins appreciated the God, parents, student and all other well wishers for gracing the occasion. He said there is a futre plan for ISEG University in the area of standard education by building a solid foundation for the students in other to make them realize the optimum goals, adding that they would have upper hand when competing with their fellow university students in the society.

The Registrar Academic Dr. John W. Willoughby assured the parents that their investment on their children in ISEG University would surely yield good profit and make them great.

He charged the matriculating students to cooperate with their lecturers and school management, while promising them that Government’s requirements in the area of policy that make them to excel in their studies would be adopted for the betterment of the institution.

However, Honourary doctorate degree was conferred on well meaning philanthropists in the society who had contributed to the welfare and socio-economic life of the people in their community.

The ceremony was well attended by scholars and dignitaries from different parts of the country.
