Unity Forum declares support for Akeredolu

Members of the Unity Forum have put their weight behind Rotimi Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the upcoming Ondo State elections.
The group led by a former deputy governor of the state, Alhaji Ali Olanusi, made the declaration in a stakeholder meeting held in Akure the state capital on Sunday evening.

The forum comprises of some aggrieved members of the party who were initially hell-bent on ensuring that the governor would not be the candidate of the party in the October 10 governorship election but their consensus candidate, Chief Olusola Oke, lost the primary to Governor Akeredolu.
Daily Times gathered that Oke also declared his support for the incumbent Governor after the primary elections.
The leader of the group, Alhaji Olanusi who was present at the meeting said he and members of the group would be ready to campaign for Akeredolu when the campaign started.
