Tug of War roles out seminar for officials

The Tug of War Association of Nigeria has concluded plans to organize a technical course for its officials in Lagos. The course comes up today in Lagos.
The acting President of the body, Isaac Osaikhiwu Isaac told Extra Time the course is being put together to bring the technical officials of the association up to speed with the latest innovations and techniques of the game.
“The course is actually for officiating and technical officials,” says Isaac.
“We want to keep them updated with the latest rules of the game. Tug of War is an interesting and dynamic sport and we want to ensure that we re- invigorate the culture in Nigeria, this is why the course is very important to us,” he added.
The participants for the course are dawn from nine states; Edo, Lagos, Delta and Bayelsa. Others are Cross Rivers, Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Kwara States. Representatives of the Nigeria Police and Navy will also take part.
The course will be held at the Lagos State SWAN Secretariat located at the premises of the National Stadium, Lagos.
In a related development, the association will be holding a one day competition in the NYSC Orientation Camp today.
The competition will be between Platoon 3 & 4, and will hold at the NYSC Orientation Camp at Iyana Ipaja, Lagos. Cash awards of N10, 000, N7, 000 and 5,000 respectively will be given to the first three winners, courtesy of the acting President of the body.
